Pivotal Retail Group (PRG) partnered with Advance Auto Parts to deploy a new store fixture installation program. The project per location spanned over 10,000 square feet of an open shell of a store, and the scope included the installation of gondola, shelving, shelving parts, and checkout counters. The project duration was tight – only one week per location.
During the planning phase, PRG completed thorough blueprint reviews as well as installation material pricing and acquisition. Once into execution, the team first started with marking the floor layout. Next, a designated team completed a detailed receipt of all fixtures, logging any missing or damaged items. By doing this simple task, the assembly and installation of the fixtures and checkout counter was organized, efficient, and timely. On top of all these items, PRG also took charge of coordinating the third-party contractors that were involved with other parts of the project.
As the project continued, PRG monitored the quality closely by pushing daily reports to Advance Auto. Internally, the team completed photo audits to ensure project completion per the client’s standards. Along the way, Advance Auto Parts was kept in the loop with progress meetings.
The results were outstanding! Stores were completed 24 hours ahead of schedule, saving Advance Auto Parts time and money. Because of the meticulous planning – ensuring all merchandise would arrive on time – and the smooth fixture installation, the stores were able to open ahead of schedule.
